Poll and vote templates

A poll is a decision with a deadline. These templates are a single question each — yes or no, pick one, or put the options in order — with a public results page that refreshes itself and one vote per person enforced when a vote arrives, not by a cookie that can be cleared.

You choose when results become visible: always, only after someone has voted, or once voting closes. Polls live at a short /p/ address, can be embedded in a page with two lines of HTML, and need no account to vote in.

All 3 polls & votes templates

Each one is a working form. Open it, fill it in and submit it — nothing is saved — then build it in your own account with every field already configured.

Which polls & votes template should you start from?

These differ less in their fields than in what has to be true after someone submits. That is the useful way to choose.

If the answer is yes or no

Start from the yes or no poll. One question, a “Not sure” option so the undecided are not forced to pick a side, and live results after each vote.

If people must pick one of several

Start from the multiple choice poll. One pick per person, an optional comment that stays private, and a bar chart with the leader highlighted.

If second choices matter

Start from the ranked vote. Everyone orders the options, and the results show each option’s average rank beside its first-place votes.
