About Votense

Polls and surveys that help communities decide things together.

What we focus on

Votense is focused on polls and surveys that support communities — clubs, classrooms, neighbourhood groups, volunteer teams, open source projects and the organisations that serve them. The aim is simple: make it easy to ask a group a question, hear from everyone fairly, and show the answer back to the people who gave it.

That is why a quick poll needs no account, why results can be shown live to everyone who voted, and why a poll can be limited to one vote per person so a decision reflects the whole group rather than its loudest members. For learning and events there are quizzes and live trivia games that a room can play together from their phones.

Who runs Votense

Votense is a subsidiary of SeaGit. We partner with SeaGit to use its platform services and AI stacks, which lets a small team spend its time on the product communities actually use rather than on running infrastructure. The same people who build Votense answer the support inbox.

Technology we use

Votense is built on two SeaGit products, and every component on votense.com comes from them:

  • Seagit UI — the component library behind the interface. Every question type you answer here, from multiple choice and rating scales to ranking, matrix and NPS questions, and the quiz and live game screens, renders through it.
  • Seagit Forms — the form engine Votense grew out of. The survey editor, the response handling, bot protection and the integrations that send answers to Slack, Discord, Notion, Airtable or your own webhook all come from Seagit Forms.

How we handle your data

Answers belong to whoever ran the survey, deleting a survey deletes its responses, and a survey, poll or game you were sent carries no analytics. The privacy policy says exactly what is stored and who else sees it.
