Christmas trivia quiz with answers
Ten Christmas trivia questions with the answers below — a mix of films, songs, books and traditions from around the world, pitched so a mixed room gets most of them and argues about two. Play it live at the office party with phones as buzzers, or send the link and let everyone take it at their own pace.
The quiz beside this text is live. Fill it in and submit it — it validates exactly as it would for a real respondent, and saves nothing.
Three question types in ten questions
Multiple choice, true or false, and typed answers. A typed answer ignores capitals, accents and punctuation, so “home alone!” counts for “Home Alone”.
Speed points, settled by the server
Live, the fastest correct answer scores most. The time is taken when the answer reaches the server, so a fast phone or a fiddled clock changes nothing.
A reveal for the whole room at once
Phones only learn whether they were right when the host screen reveals the answer, so nobody can shout it out early from their own result.
No card required.

Live previewHow to use this template
4 steps in the editor. Nothing here needs a paid plan.
- Press “Use this template”. The quiz opens in the quiz editor with every question, answer and correct mark filled in — change any of them, or add your own.
- To run it live, open the quiz and press Host live. Put the host screen on a projector: players go to votense.com/play on their phones, type the six-digit PIN and pick a nickname. You press Start; each question shows a countdown, reveals itself when time is up or everyone has answered, and a leaderboard follows.
- To send it instead, share the quiz link. Each person answers at their own pace and sees their score, with the right answer under each one they missed.
- After the game, the results page shows the score spread and which question caught most people out; a live game also gives you a CSV of every player’s points.

What goes wrong with this quiz
Specific to this template, not general advice about quizzes.
Questions with two right answers
Trivia arguments start with questions like “how many ghosts visit Scrooge?” (three spirits, or four with Marley). This set avoids them; check your own additions for a famous “well, actually”.
A 20-second timer on a long question
Give questions with long answers 30 seconds or more. A room spends the first seconds reading, and a timer that is too short rewards whoever reads fastest rather than whoever knows.
Questions about this quiz
How many people can play at once?
Up to 50 players in one live game on the free plan (300 on Basic, 1,000 on Advanced), each on their own phone, with no account or app. Taken from a link instead of live, the limit is the plan’s response limit per quiz.
How is the score worked out?
In a live game a correct answer earns between 1,000 points (instant) and 500 points (at the buzzer), so speed matters; a wrong answer earns nothing. Taken from a link, every correct answer earns its full points. The server does the scoring — a player’s phone never decides it.
Can I add my own Christmas questions?
Yes — every question is editable, and you can add up to 100. Office in-jokes make the best final round: add a question about your own team and mark the right answer.
