True or false quiz with answers

Ten statements to call true or false. Several look right and are wrong, and a few look wrong and are right, which is what makes the format useful. Every answer has a short explanation that appears after the reveal, so the quiz teaches as it runs.

The quiz beside this text is live. Fill it in and submit it — it validates exactly as it would for a real respondent, and saves nothing.

One answer per statement, with an explanation

Each true or false question stores its answer and a short explanation. The explanation is shown after the reveal, so the wrong answers become the lesson.

Speed points in a live round

Live, a correct answer scores more the sooner it is given, up to 1,000 points, and the server works out the order.

No answer shown before the reveal

Phones learn whether they were right only when the reveal is shown for the whole room.

No card required.

What goes wrong with this quiz

Specific to this template, not general advice about quizzes.

Statements that are only half true

A statement that is true in one context and false in another makes a poor true or false question. Make each one precise: say which measure, which species or which conditions it applies to.

Using myths as answers without checking

Several popular “facts” are myths, so they are good questions, but only if the explanation is correct. Look up the explanation for each myth before you use it.

Questions about this quiz

How many people can play at once?

Up to 50 players in one live game on the free plan (300 on Basic, 1,000 on Advanced), each on their own phone, with no account or app. Taken from a link instead of live, the limit is the plan’s response limit per quiz.

How is the score worked out?

In a live game a correct answer earns between 1,000 points (instant) and 500 points (at the buzzer), so speed matters; a wrong answer earns nothing. Taken from a link, every correct answer earns its full points. The server does the scoring — a player’s phone never decides it.

Can I add my own statements?

Yes. Each statement is an editable true or false question with its own answer and explanation. Check each one against a reliable source before you publish it, since a wrong answer key costs more trust than a missing question.
